Role Overview

This Business Analyst role focuses on mapping and improving an end-to-end multiple determination workflow for private equity valuation work. The position sits between engineering teams and valuation stakeholders, ensuring that business rules, data structures, and review processes are translated clearly into system requirements and validated for accuracy, auditability, and usability.

Responsibilities

• Lead process mapping for the complete multiple determination workflow, covering inputs, transformations, outputs, and how dependent stories connect.
• Act as the link between engineering and valuation stakeholders to close open design questions such as smoothing policy, Pitch Book feasibility, and timing differences related to Athena.
• Develop and refine acceptance criteria for each story so the delivered output aligns with deal team model expectations.
• Design human-in-the-loop review checkpoints, including what data analysts see, how overrides are recorded, and how sign-off is completed.
• Maintain the data schema reference document, including field meanings, mandatory versus optional fields, source hierarchy rules, and controlled vocabularies for sector, subsector, business model, and geography.
• Work with Crystal deal teams on structured data entry methods and unstructured input formats.
• Validate prototype outputs against real deal team models to confirm accuracy and audit readiness.
• Define configurable settings such as tolerance thresholds, recency windows, and EBITDA margin thresholds, and document the reasoning behind them.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of private equity valuation topics, including trading comparables, precedent transactions, EV bridges, and multiple selection.
• Ability to write clear structured requirements and acceptance criteria for data-heavy financial tools.
• Understanding of IFRS fair value measurement and audit-readiness expectations.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across deal teams, valuation groups, and engineering.
• Capability in data modelling and schema design, including JSON-style output structures and rolling records.
• Experience coordinating UAT and designing test cases that validate financial accuracy.
