Role overview
As an Assistant F&B Manager, you will take charge of shift-level leadership in a fast-paced food and beverage operation. You will be the Manager on Duty during assigned shifts, making sure service runs smoothly, guests receive a high-quality experience, and the team stays aligned with standards and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the shift leader and act as the management representative while on duty.
- Monitor live operations and ensure service delivery stays consistent throughout the shift.
- Guide, coordinate, and assist supervisors and frontline team members during day-to-day operations.
- Respond quickly to service issues, operational disruptions, and passenger concerns.
- Keep all activities aligned with safety, hygiene, and service requirements.
- Assist the management team in carrying out daily operational plans.
What the role involves
This position suits a hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys being on the floor, making prompt decisions, supporting the team in real time, and ensuring that standards are met throughout the operation. The role focuses on delivering a polished guest experience while maintaining smooth execution across the shift.

Qualification and experience
You should hold a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, hotel management, or another relevant discipline. The role calls for at least 6 years of experience in hospitality, including 1 year in a managerial position within a 5-star environment. Experience in luxury hotel operations and standalone restaurant operations is important.
Additional requirements
You should be familiar with food safety rules and hygiene practices, and you should have demonstrated results in food quality and cost management.
Skills and competencies
The role requires strong spoken and written English, confident leadership, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You should be comfortable adapting to change, creating personalized food and beverage experiences, collaborating across teams and levels, handling conflict positively, resolving complaints, anticipating guest needs, and maintaining a high standard of organization and attention to detail. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, accurate record-keeping, inventory control, and strict adherence to procedures are also essential.
