Role Summary
This is a full-time Appointment Setter position based in Sydney, New South Wales, with a hybrid arrangement that includes some work from home. The successful candidate will reach out to prospective and existing clients through phone, email, and other communication channels to qualify leads and book sales meetings for the business development team. The role also includes maintaining the appointment calendar, confirming meetings, rearranging bookings when required, and keeping CRM records accurate and up to date. You will carry out basic discovery conversations, follow set call structures while adjusting to customer responses, and explain Online Road’s digital marketing services in a clear and professional manner. In addition, you will work closely with sales and marketing teams to improve lead quality, pass on insights from customer conversations, and help keep the sales pipeline moving.
Key Duties
- Contact potential and current clients by phone, email, and similar channels to qualify interest and secure appointments.
- Manage the calendar for sales meetings, including confirmations, changes, and rescheduling as needed.
- Record all calls, follow-ups, and outcomes correctly in the CRM system.
- Use structured scripts for outreach while adapting naturally to each customer’s responses.
- Carry out simple needs assessments and share relevant information about the company’s digital marketing services.
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to improve lead quality and support the wider pipeline.
Skills and Experience
The role calls for strong appointment-setting and scheduling ability, including calendar coordination across multiple stakeholders. Experience in lead generation and qualifying prospects is important, along with excellent communication and customer service skills. A professional phone manner and the ability to establish rapport quickly will be essential. Comfort using CRM platforms and everyday productivity tools such as email, spreadsheets, and calendar software is expected. Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet or exceed outreach and appointment targets, and stay organised while documenting interactions carefully. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a hybrid Sydney team is also required. Previous experience in sales support, telesales, or another customer-facing role is valued, and exposure to digital marketing or agency settings will be an advantage.
Qualifications
