Role Overview
This opening is for an Application Support Specialist focused on Reporting. It is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build technical depth in a fast-growing HCM environment while gaining business and industry experience through training and mentoring.
The role suits a person who wants to grow within a customer support function and performs well in a collaborative, fast-moving setting.
The Reporting team supports Dayforce Reporting and Analytics capabilities for customers, and the specialist will work with clients and colleagues across regions, gaining exposure to different regulations, industries, technologies, and cultures.
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly to incidents and resolve them by applying both technical and functional understanding.
- Build tailored solutions while following the agreed timelines, procedures, and quality standards.
- Write and maintain scripts or programmatic tasks when needed.
- Work with teams across the business to move tasks to completion.
- Communicate clearly and professionally to deliver strong customer service.
- Record investigations, actions, and resolutions accurately in the CRM system.
- Escalate risks and blockers to senior team members and the manager as appropriate.
- Work toward support KPIs for productivity and quality.
- Take ownership of assigned work and keep stakeholders informed of progress.
- Apply logical reasoning to compare possible solutions and choose the best approach.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Contribute to the internal support knowledge base.
Skills and Competencies
The role calls for strong SQL ability, familiarity with SQL Server, and working knowledge of XML/XSLT. Exposure to Power BI and DAX is an added advantage, as is understanding software development concepts and the software lifecycle.
Excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and solid organization/time management are important. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, be proactive, maintain quality focus, and enjoy client-facing work. Programming experience is beneficial, and French language ability is a plus.
Education and Experience
A diploma or degree in an IT-related field is required. Candidates should have intermediate to advanced SQL knowledge and around 1 to 3 years of experience in software development, testing, implementation, or support.
Working Hours
This is a 5-day workweek role with flexible hours. The shifts mentioned are 11:30 am to 8:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
