About The Team
The Fanatics Collectibles team is a fast-growing group working where collectibles and technology meet. Backed by strong investors and leading sports and entertainment relationships, the team is integrated with Fanatics’ global digital sports platform to help reshape the collectibles business for today’s market.
Role Summary
Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a Strategic Operations Analyst to support the most important, complex, and visible initiatives on the Athlete Partnerships roadmap. Reporting to the Biz Ops lead for the Head of Athlete Partnerships, this role offers direct exposure to the leadership team at Fanatics Collectibles. The position will contribute to multiple high-impact projects across Athlete Partnerships and the wider organization, including building an autograph procurement strategy for more than 10 million autographs per year, creating frameworks for broader strategic work, and driving cross-functional efforts that improve the experience for athletes and collectors.
The right candidate will be adaptable, highly analytical, comfortable solving tough problems, and able to work with a strong team-first approach. A genuine interest in sports, culture, and entertainment will be a plus.
First 6 Months
- Support several high-priority initiatives, both planned and ad hoc, and partner cross-functionally with the Athlete Partnerships team to help deliver successful outcomes.
- Define objectives, analyze results, prepare recommendations, and assist in presenting updates to Athlete Partnerships leaders and Fanatics Collectibles executives.
- Contribute to a comprehensive autograph sourcing strategy covering more than 5,000 athletes across every major global sports league.
- Help prioritize, build roadmaps, and execute growth and operational projects for the team.
- Lead efforts to design and standardize processes within Athlete Partnerships and related functions to improve efficiency.
- Develop deep subject-matter knowledge in trading cards and athlete relations.
Ideal Candidate
This position is best suited to someone with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, ideally in management consulting, strategy, finance, accounting, or business operations. A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, or a closely related field is preferred. Strong quantitative modeling, analysis, communication, and financial skills are important, along with the ability to collaborate effectively on challenging problems.
Success in this role also requires comfort in a fast-moving, multitasking environment, the ability to meet deadlines, confidence, curiosity, the ability to work through ambiguity, and a strong willingness to learn.
