Overview
This role supports daily office administration within a manufacturing environment in Calgary, Alberta. The position requires on-site attendance at the physical workplace, with no remote-work option available.
Language
English communication is required for this position.
Education
You should have completed secondary school (high school) or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Previous experience is not mandatory; however, prior exposure to similar work is considered an advantage.
Work Setting
This job is based in a manufacturing environment.
Key Duties
- Handle incoming mail and distribute documents or other materials as needed.
- Answer phone calls, transfer messages, and relay information accurately.
- Respond to electronic inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Keep office supplies stocked and monitor inventory levels.
- Organize and update both paper-based and computerized filing systems.
- Prepare correspondence, forms, and other documents by typing and proofreading them.
- Carry out data entry and keep digital records up to date.
- Deliver customer service support and greet visitors or customers.
- Maintain digital databases and keep them organized.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping work.
- Prepare and update purchasing files, reports, and related records.
- Complete general clerical work, including filing and record management.
- Track repair, inspection, and certification records with attention to detail.
Technology and Tools
The role involves working with Google Docs, Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and accounting software.
Experience Area
Experience related to purchasing, procurement, and contracts is relevant for this role.
