Role Summary
Fairmont The Red Sea is hiring an organized and detail-focused Accounts Receivable professional to support the finance function in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. This position covers the full receivables cycle, with responsibility for accurate billing, timely collections, account reconciliation, and professional handling of customer queries. The role calls for strong analytical ability, precision, and the flexibility to work in a busy hospitality setting.
Key Duties
- Oversee the full accounts receivable workflow, from raising invoices and processing payments to reconciling accounts.
- Track overdue balances and use effective collection follow-up to reduce delinquent accounts.
- Post incoming cash correctly and promptly to the relevant customer accounts.
- Compile receivables reports and aging analyses for management’s review.
- Look into billing differences, payment concerns, and customer questions, and resolve them professionally.
- Work with sales, operations, and customer service teams to keep customer records and billing details accurate.
- Ensure all activities align with Saudi Arabian financial rules and the company’s accounting standards.
- Use accounting and ERP platforms to record transactions and produce financial outputs.
- Assist with receivables-related tasks during month-end and year-end closing.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships that support timely payment collection.
Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar accounting role.
- Confident use of accounting applications, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Solid understanding of invoicing, billing, and cash application processes.
- Ability to review financial data carefully and spot inconsistencies accurately.
- Good organization and time management, with the ability to handle several priorities at once.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- A detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to solve problems and work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Background in hospitality or hotel finance is preferred.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian tax and financial compliance requirements is preferred.
- Working knowledge of credit control and customer account management best practices is preferred.
- Experience in pre-opening operations is required.
