Role summary

This is a full-time, on-site Accountant position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on everyday bookkeeping and financial administration, with responsibility for accurate recordkeeping and support across core accounting activities.

Key duties

• Record financial entries and keep books and ledgers up to date.
• Prepare and issue invoices as needed.
• Monitor amounts due from customers and amounts payable to vendors.
• Handle payroll processing and make sure expenses and income are captured correctly.
• Create monthly and yearly financial statements and assist with budgeting and cash flow planning.
• Work with management to share financial observations and support decision-making.
• Maintain compliance with applicable accounting rules, local legal requirements, and internal company procedures.
• Support audit work, inventory control, and cost review efforts to improve efficiency.
• Complete UAE VAT and tax filing tasks.

Required qualifications and skills

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, general accounting, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
• Ability to support budgeting, cash flow management, and cost control.
• Comfort using accounting software, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis tools.
• A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Previous experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role, ideally within the UAE, is preferred.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Understanding of UAE regulations is expected.
