Role overview

Motu Novu is looking for a remote virtual assistant who can work as an independent contractor and support the partners with a mix of administrative, operational, marketing, and business development tasks. The role is global and may occasionally include optional travel to the EU or the USA.

Working arrangement

Engagement type: Independent contractor
Schedule: Flexible, around 5 to 15 hours per week

Responsibilities

Build a strong working knowledge of how an international, distributed professional services firm operates.
Learn the company’s services and client segments in depth.
Develop familiarity with administrative processes, compliance, accounting, human resources, and finance.
Support the firm’s partners with both personal and operational tasks.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing documentation.
Conduct research on markets, products, consumer trends, and competitors.
Assist with planning, creating, and launching new physical-product e-commerce stores.
Handle operational marketing work.
Deliver customer support before and after sales through email, ticketing systems, chat, and phone.

Requirements

A confident, polished, and outgoing communication style for both internal and external interactions.
Excellent spoken and written English, specifically American English.
A strong commitment to discretion and confidentiality.
Willingness to learn quickly and complete tasks reliably.
Comfort using common office productivity software.
Must be properly set up as an independent contractor.
Familiarity with GNU/Linux is a plus, regardless of distribution.
Experience with Shopify, MailChimp, Stamps.com, or similar tools is an added advantage.
Must successfully pass a background check.

Compensation and benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $9 to $15, depending on qualifications and experience.
Eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus.

Potential relocation to Cody, Wyoming, with visa sponsorship for foreign candidates after at least 3 years of successful collaboration, if feasible and of interest.
