Role overview

In this Technician role, you will support wafer manufacturing equipment through preventive maintenance, basic fault finding, and minor repairs. The position also involves maintaining cleanroom discipline, assisting with day-to-day equipment upkeep, and contributing ideas for continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the preventive maintenance checklist and complete routine maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Diagnose basic issues and handle minor repairs on wafer manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out daily 5S activities and keep equipment in proper working condition.
• Observe all safety procedures and cleanroom requirements at all times.
• Assist with additional tasks assigned by the supervisor as needed.
• Share improvement ideas and take part in equipment enhancement projects.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Exposure to semiconductor or wafer fab cleanroom equipment will be an advantage.
• A cooperative mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills for working with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
• Strong written communication for PM checklists and shift handover notes.
• Comfort working in a 12-hour rotating shift pattern inside a wafer fabrication cleanroom.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft software.
• Relevant technical certification in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Work environment

This is an onsite role based in Singapore and requires work in a wafer fabrication cleanroom environment.
