Technician

Job Summary

This position is for a Technician who can diagnose, service, and restore home appliances and related equipment. The work covers air conditioning and refrigeration systems, electrical and electromechanical parts, and small home appliances.

Role Overview

You will be expected to apply practical technical knowledge to test, repair, and install appliance components at the service center and at customer locations. The role also requires completing service tasks within the product-specific time standards by following the relevant service manuals.

Key Duties

• Use technical knowledge to test, repair, and install air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, and electromechanical parts and products at the service center and in customers' homes.
• Complete service jobs within the required timelines and according to product specifications and service manuals.
• Request spare parts from the spare parts department as needed for repairs.
• Record all spare parts used in repair documentation and update entries in the company system.
• Check repaired or newly installed units to confirm they operate correctly under real working conditions.
• Collect customer approval on product performance after repairs, especially for home service jobs.
• Escalate any issue that interrupts service work to the Service Supervisor or Chief Technician without delay.
• Deposit customer service payments with the service center on the same day or the next day for home service visits.
• Travel to customer homes to carry out repairs and servicing.
• Meet the turnaround time target of 3 working days for indoor job orders and 5 working days for outdoor job cards.
• Maintain a minimum of 7 home visits per day, with at least 4 repaired units daily.
• Repair at least 18 SDA units daily inside the service center.
• Repair at least 7 AV units daily inside the service center.
• Repair at least 8 Hoover VC and MW units daily inside the service center.

Qualifications

The employer is seeking candidates with a diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline. Applicants should have 2 to 5 years of practical experience in electrical maintenance, with hands-on exposure to AV and SDA repairs. A strong understanding of electrical systems, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting is important, along with the ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required, and holding a valid driver’s license will be considered an advantage.
