Swamper

Role Overview

Foothills Tank Rentals Ltd is hiring a Swamper to support field, yard, and shop operations in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. This position is focused on hands-on labour and day-to-day support work assigned by supervisors, managers, dispatch, and equipment operators.

Key Duties

• Carry out physical tasks directed by supervisors and management, including work around the tank pit.
• Wash and repair tanks as needed.
• Prepare culvert orders, load them, and deliver culverts.
• Help keep the yard and shop clean, organized, and maintained.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and small mechanical hoists to complete assigned work.
• Support equipment operators in the shop, yard, and at client locations.
• Assemble equipment and materials both on-site and in the yard.
• Drive pickups for piloting jobs, hotshot work, and parts pickups/runs.

Additional Duties and Safety Expectations

• Take direction from dispatch, supervisors, management, and equipment operators.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Operate shop tools and equipment such as grinders, drills, saws, and air compressors.
• Complete required documentation and safety-related paperwork for the work being performed.
• Attend training sessions and safety meetings when asked.
• Use the required safety gear and apply safety training while performing tasks.
