Role overview
The Settlements Analyst will play a key part in settlement and operational processes across multiple markets, supporting accurate transaction handling, reconciliations, client payments, and related banking activities. This role also contributes to process improvements, compliance, and wider operations support.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily settlement activity across a range of markets.
- Review and resolve settlement breaks with both internal stakeholders and outside counterparties.
- Perform reconciliations of broker trades against internal system records.
- Prepare and send settlement instructions to custodians.
- Carry out daily bank account reconciliations and flag any irregular items.
- Process payments to clients, receive client funds, and act on adviser instructions.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes within the Operational Excellence team.
- Work in line with audit and compliance obligations.
- Learn additional duties and support other functions within the Operations team as needed.

You should be a clear and confident communicator who can work effectively with both internal teams and external contacts. The right person will take ownership, remain composed under pressure, and approach issues with a practical, solution-oriented mindset. You will raise risks or mismatches early, with enough context to support fast resolution. A curious, commercially aware attitude and a willingness to learn new systems quickly will help you succeed in this role.
