Senior Business Intelligence Architect

About the Role

This position sits within the Enterprise Data & Analytics organization and is focused on shaping how information is structured, governed, and used across the business. The role calls for someone who can create a practical architecture approach for data and information, make sure initiatives solve the intended business problem, and consider the effect of changes on people, processes, and tools. Success in this role depends on forming trusted partnerships with stakeholders and working across functions to move complex programs forward.

Information Architecture

• Create, refine, and maintain the enterprise information architecture framework.
• Build data models, data movement flows, and integration approaches that support business needs.
• Make sure architecture choices stay aligned with business priorities and IT direction.

Discovery and Analysis

• Lead early-stage exploration by evaluating opportunity and feasibility.
• Collect, organize, and validate business requirements with subject matter experts.
• Document the current and desired future states, then identify gaps that shape the roadmap.
• Conduct thorough impact assessments from the start of each effort, covering people, process, and technology impacts across the initiative lifecycle.

Solution Design

• Assess data management tools and platforms and recommend the most suitable options.
• Support smooth data integration across systems and applications.
• Work with IT partners to implement and improve data solutions.

Data Modeling and Design

• Develop and sustain conceptual data models.
• Design data flows and integration patterns that meet enterprise requirements.
• Ensure models and designs support business needs and technology strategy.

Communication and Collaboration

• Partner closely with business teams, IT, and other stakeholders to understand information needs.
• Encourage adoption of information architecture standards and best practices.
• Present goals, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership in a clear and concise way.

Stakeholder Management

• Build productive relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners.
• Work with impacted groups to support end-to-end change delivery.

Continuous Improvement

• Track how well the information architecture is performing and where improvements are needed.
• Identify and implement enhancements to strengthen outcomes.
• Stay current with trends, tools, and best practices in information architecture.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned and follow all policies and standards.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in Management, Data Science, or a related area is preferred. The role typically requires at least 6 years of experience in information architecture, data management, business architecture, business analysis, or enterprise transformation work.

Additional Requirements

Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA is expected. Industry-specific regulatory knowledge, such as in finance or healthcare, is considered an advantage. Certification in information architecture or data management, such as TOGAF or CDMP, is preferred.
