About the team
The SME & Growth Business team focuses on helping small and medium-sized businesses succeed in the global economy. The group works closely with customers to understand their needs, shape tailored solutions, and support cross-border payment workflows that help businesses grow and create new revenue opportunities.
What you will do
This role is more than a target-driven sales position. The team is looking for someone who brings creativity, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn. Airwallex also sees SDRs as future Account Executives and provides training and support to help build that path. The position is based in Toronto, Canada, and follows a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Find and assess potential leads through phone, email, and social platforms.
- Develop rapport with prospects and learn about their business needs and challenges.
- Explain the company’s solutions clearly and build strong value-based messaging.
- Qualify opportunities and arrange meetings for Account Executives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in outbound B2B sales.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment, ideally in a 0-to-1 setting where a new product or region has been launched and scaled.
- Ability to lead partnership-focused conversations and offer solution-oriented thinking.
- Strong “figure it out” mindset and willingness to do what it takes to deliver results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability with an organized approach to work.
- Working knowledge of GSuite and sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Compensation
The stated salary range is CA$120K to CA$130K.
