Role overview
Saleh Al-Rajhi & Partners Co. Ltd is seeking a Safety Engineer to help shape and sustain a safe, compliant, and well-controlled workplace in Riyadh. This position centers on reducing workplace risk, avoiding incidents, and supporting adherence to relevant safety requirements and environmental practices.
What you will do
- Design, roll out, and keep up to date health and safety procedures and workplace policies.
- Evaluate work areas to spot hazards and carry out risk assessments.
- Make sure day-to-day operations align with safety rules, legal requirements, and internal standards.
- Look into accidents, incidents, and near misses, then document findings in clear reports.
- Deliver safety briefings, training sessions, and awareness initiatives for staff.
- Check machinery, tools, and facilities to confirm they can be used safely.
- Support emergency readiness, including fire response planning and evacuation practice drills.
- Suggest practical changes that lower risk and strengthen overall safety performance.
- Keep accurate safety logs, records, and supporting documentation.
- Partner with leadership and team members to build and reinforce a strong safety-first culture.
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- Professional credentials such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or an equivalent certification are an advantage.
- Hands-on background in safety engineering or HSE-related roles.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to resolve problems effectively.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to train others clearly.
- Careful attention to detail, especially when assessing risks and hazards.
- Capability to remain effective under pressure and respond to emergencies.
- Good documentation and report-writing ability.
