Role overview

In this business banking relationship management role, you will be responsible for bringing in new clients through Relationship Officers, upgrading customers from the mass segment, and expanding existing business relationships. The position focuses on growing asset and cross-sell revenue while keeping service levels strong, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring full adherence to UAE Central Bank rules and anti-money laundering requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the full set of annual business targets, including revenue, profit, asset growth, deposit growth, new customer acquisition, and cross-sell performance, while also supporting Relationship Officers with sales direction.
• Develop and deepen relationships sourced by Relationship Officers, turn them into profitable accounts, improve market reach, strengthen the asset and revenue base from existing customers, and provide timely guidance on trade and treasury offerings.
• Keep response times low, maintain service quality, apply strong SME banking knowledge, help clients with trade, asset, insurance, and investment-related matters, and track customer satisfaction on an ongoing basis.
• Follow all operational risk, sales, credit, and anti-mis-selling controls; keep KYC and customer records accurate and confidential; evaluate customer risk and product fit; protect the bank’s reputation through sound practices; record meetings and support team reporting; and comply with lending, AML, and KYC processes, including immediate escalation of any suspicious activity.

Experience and skills

The role calls for a banking professional with at least 5 years of experience, ideally in relationship management. Strong English communication is required, and knowledge of regional languages is an advantage. Candidates should bring excellent presentation and interpersonal abilities, a solid understanding of banking operations, and a disciplined approach to policy and compliance adherence.
