As a QC Laboratory Technician, you will support laboratory operations through water sampling, handling waste and parts autoclaves, and completing cleaning tasks in a QC laboratory area that simulates an ISO-graded cleanroom. All work is carried out under the customer quality system, using customer procedures and in line with Eurofins policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist analytical laboratory staff with routine and ad hoc tasks, including water sampling in grey-space areas and support for investigations when needed.
- Record samples accurately and on time, and keep all laboratory paperwork and records complete, compliant and right first time.
- Oversee the daily running of autoclaves, including loading, checks, validated load setups and confirming equipment performance follows approved methods.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and housekeeping in the laboratory, CTU and related equipment, including scheduled and unscheduled cleaning in ISO-graded cleanroom-simulated areas.
- Take part in training activities, keep training records up to date, and help train colleagues when required.
- Work in a customer-focused way, follow safety, quality and housekeeping rules, escalate deviations or non-conformances quickly, respond to customer questions and support continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills and Experience
- A relevant scientific qualification, preferably at degree or diploma level.
- Strong planning and organisational ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent accuracy and close attention to detail in both practical work and documentation.
- A positive, dependable team-oriented approach.
- Good IT skills and confidence with laboratory documentation and record systems.
- Clear professional communication skills and familiarity with pharmaceutical or laboratory operations such as GMP, autoclaves, sample handling and documentation; GMP experience is an advantage.
