Role Summary
You will join the operations team as a dependable, safety-minded production operator. The position is centered on running production equipment, checking process conditions, and helping maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely run reactors, mixers, pumps, and related production machinery in line with standard operating procedures.
- Watch process indicators such as temperature, pressure, and flow to keep production stable and efficient.
- Carry out in-process inspections, collect samples, run basic quality checks, and escalate any irregular findings.
- Move raw materials and finished products, including loading, unloading, batch transfers, and packaging.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and aligned with housekeeping expectations.
- Consistently follow PPE requirements and chemical handling rules to support a safe workplace.
- Assist with minor equipment adjustments and report faults or issues to the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate production logs, batch documentation, and shift handover records.

The ideal applicant is practical, dependable, and comfortable working directly with equipment and materials. You should be able to stay focused on safety, quality, and accuracy while contributing positively to a team environment. The role also calls for calm and steady performance when production demands are high or unexpected issues arise.
Requirements and Competencies
- Previous exposure to manufacturing or chemical processing work is preferred.
- Basic understanding of chemical production steps and equipment operation.
- Awareness of safety rules, PPE usage, and regulatory compliance such as COSHH.
- Mechanical aptitude for operating equipment and handling basic troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to quality and product consistency.
- Ability to complete records accurately and follow written procedures.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks, stand for long periods, and work in varied site conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in chemical processing or manufacturing are an added advantage.
