About the Role
The People Operations Generalist plays a key role in creating a smooth, positive employee experience across North America. This position handles daily HR operations, supports engagement efforts, and manages benefits administration while building strong connections between employees and leadership. The role also helps keep records accurate, refine workflows, and ensure people processes scale effectively as the organization grows.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for routine employee questions across North America.
- Run regular employee check-ins to collect feedback and improve the overall employee experience.
- Plan internal recognition activities, appreciation efforts, and local engagement initiatives.
- Oversee onboarding, promotions, position changes, and other employee lifecycle updates in HR systems.
- Keep employee files and localized HR documentation accurate, complete, and compliant.
- Administer benefits programs covering health, retirement, wellness, and other employee perks.
- Coordinate leave management and PTO processes with internal partners.
- Support logistics for remote equipment requests, virtual events, and HR vendor coordination.
- Help improve, simplify, and automate core people operations workflows.
- Work with cross-functional teams to increase operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in HR, people operations, or a similar corporate function.
- Practical experience supporting employee lifecycle processes and standard benefits administration.
- Working knowledge of modern HRIS tools such as HiBob, Rippling, Workday, or BambooHR.
- Strong organization skills with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Clear communication, active listening, and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to manage several priorities at once in a fast-moving environment.
- Flexibility to attend occasional in-person strategy meetings in New York City.
- Preferred experience supporting remote, distributed, or international teams.
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this role is USD 85,000 to USD 100,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on experience, specialized skills, and location.
