Role Overview

Metropolis is hiring a People Operations Coordinator to support core HR operations. This position centers on maintaining employee records, helping new hires through onboarding and orientation, responding to HR-related questions, and assisting with reporting and administrative coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle questions and requests from employees and managers through multiple HR and payroll inboxes.
  • Update and maintain employee records in HRIS platforms such as AS400 and Dayforce, covering transfers, promotions, pay adjustments, and exits.
  • Coordinate the new hire workflow from ICIMS into AS400 to ensure onboarding data is entered accurately and on time.
  • Check employee change paperwork for completeness and correct approval.
  • Organize incoming mail and prepare payroll-related items, including garnishments and other requests, for upload into ADP.
  • Take part in cross-training across People Operations to build broader department knowledge.
  • Help prepare and share HR and payroll reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Support special projects as assigned and contribute to broader People Operations initiatives.
  • Assist with planning and setting up New Metropolite Orientation (NMO), including coordination of IT setup.

Required Experience and Skills

Applicants should bring at least one year of professional experience in a corporate environment. Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base pay for this role is between $29.00 and $35.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary depending on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
