- Handle payroll changes for new employees, compensation updates, terminations, pension deductions, and leave-related entitlements such as vacation, sick leave, short-term disability top-ups, and parental leave top-ups.
- Review and maintain time and attendance records so that work hours, overtime, and leave balances are correct.
- Manage payroll corrections, reconciliations, and reporting across different business units.
- Act as a Dayforce system administrator by resolving issues, updating employee records, and working with support teams on system improvements.
- Assist with audits, compliance obligations, and Workers’ Compensation Board reporting.
- Keep track of legislative updates and help improve payroll processes for better accuracy and efficiency.
- Take on other related duties as needed.
What you need
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification.
- At least 2 to 3 years of payroll experience, ideally in a multi-provincial environment that includes Quebec.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Dayforce HCM, including payroll processing, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with Dayforce time and attendance tools and related integrations, such as Workday.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel ability, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Solid understanding of the full payroll cycle, including year-end work.
- Ability to organize priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
- Comfort working with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Careful attention to detail, along with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Capability to work both independently and with others in a busy, fast-moving setting.
- Professional composure under pressure.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- English and French bilingualism is an asset.
