As Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for accurate and timely payroll delivery, along with support for complex payroll queries and continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems. Role summary
This position plays a key part in coordinating end-to-end payroll operations, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and industrial instruments, and supporting employees and leaders with payroll-related guidance. You will also contribute to reconciliations, statutory reporting, audit preparation, risk controls and process optimisation.
Key duties
- Manage the full payroll cycle from start to finish.
- Check payroll activity against awards, enterprise agreements, tax obligations, superannuation rules, long service leave and workers compensation requirements.
- Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports and statutory submissions.
- Respond to payroll questions from employees and leaders in a timely and helpful manner.
- Investigate and fix payroll errors, variances and other complex issues.
- Maintain strong governance, accurate records and reliable data controls.
- Support improvements to payroll processes, systems and related projects.
- Assist with audit readiness, compliance assurance and risk management activities.
