ജോലി വിവരണം

About the Company

ManyPets is a pet-focused insurer committed to improving life for pets and the people who care for them. The business offers pet insurance with substantial health benefits designed around pet wellbeing. Since 2017, the company has supported the health and happiness of more than half a million pets, and it continues to grow globally. The culture is described as respectful, energetic, and pet-loving, with a team that values fresh thinking, meaningful impact, and experimentation.

The Opportunity

This role offers a strong entry point for someone who has a clear interest in law and wants to build a career in an in-house legal environment. The Paralegal will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the legal team and gain exposure to a wide range of work, including contract review, company secretarial matters, share option support, and sharing updates on legal developments and practice changes. The position also provides close learning opportunities from the General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel.

Key Duties

  • Organise contracts by collecting, indexing, storing, and updating them so they can be accessed in one central place.
  • Maintain records in the legal document repository and coordinate with Procurement on the use of its contract management system.
  • Check that agreements are properly approved and executed.
  • Review contracts and suggest edits or mark-ups where needed.
  • Prepare correspondence for colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Track contract end dates, including items such as NDAs.
  • Support the business in monitoring important deadlines such as Confirmation Statement filing dates.
  • Handle filings with Companies House.
  • Carry out legal research, including work related to the Companies Act.
  • Keep the team informed about relevant legal changes and new legislation affecting the business.

What Helps You Succeed

This position suits someone with a strong eye for detail, confidence with research, and the ability to explain findings clearly to the legal team. The ideal candidate is self-driven, comfortable in a fast-moving environment, and able to build strong working relationships across the business through clear writing and good interpersonal skills.

Important Experience and Knowledge

An interest in commercial law is essential, whether shown through formal qualifications or another credible route. You should also understand the basics of how contracts operate and have a desire to develop that knowledge further. Prior commercial experience in any industry would be an advantage, especially if it has been gained in a business environment similar to this one. Comfort using Office 365 tools such as Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, along with relevant AI tools, is expected; prior experience with Slack would also be useful.

Working Arrangements

This is an office-based role in London, England, United Kingdom. A typical working day involves spending around seven hours on a laptop and using Zoom, email, and Slack to stay connected with colleagues. The role requires a distraction-free workspace and a stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps. The company supports the home setup with best-in-class technology, a contribution toward a desk, and vision support.

Compensation

The salary for this role is between £35,000 and £40,000 per year.
