About the Role
Located within the Fashion & Watches & Fine Jewelry Boutique at Mall of the Emirates, this position entails overseeing all back-office and support functions including inventory control, maintenance, aftersales service, cash handling, administrative tasks, and security.

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role by combining strong leadership, teamwork, a passion for fashion, and analytical acumen to enhance boutique performance aligned with commercial objectives and uphold the brand's prestigious image. Organized and attentive, the Operations Manager works closely with their team fostering collaboration and driving results to reinforce CHANEL's status as a luxury benchmark.
Key Partnerships
- Internal: Stock, Administration, Cash, Aftersales teams; Boutique Management; Fashion Advisors; other Fashion & WFJ Boutiques in UAE; Store Planning teams.
- External: Security personnel; Suppliers; Vendors; Various luxury retail sector organizations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage back-office teams responsible for stock, aftersales, cash, and administrative duties.
- Ensure thorough understanding and implementation of CHANEL's business strategy within the team.
- Motivate staff to achieve their targets through performance appraisals and ongoing follow-up.
- Define and follow up on priority development actions for team growth.
- Provide proactive support and solutions for organizational improvements.
- Collaborate with boutique management to align retail operations with CHANEL’s strategic goals.
- Function as a strategic partner to the Boutique Director, analyzing sales and performance data regularly and taking initiative on key performance indicators with recommended actions.
- Assist boutique management in tracking key metrics such as monthly stock coverage, sell-through rates, managing slow movers, and developing category-specific action plans with data-driven feedback.
- Conduct special studies for management decision-making and propose additional analyses connected to business strategy.
- Support buying decisions by working closely with the Head Office buying function.
- Supervise inventory management efforts, including annual inventory preparation and optimizing ongoing inventory processes in partnership with the Stock Manager.
- Oversee innovative aftersales operations ensuring client satisfaction in line with CHANEL standards.
- Schedule staff shifts adhering to legal requirements and CHANEL policies; coordinate permits with Administration Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and monitor security protocols to protect assets and personnel.
- Maintain budgetary control over boutique purchases.
Brand Representation
- Participate in projects and actively communicate CHANEL’s vision to the team.
- Represent CHANEL standards externally, including interactions with mall management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to the boutique's procedural guidelines and the boutique Charter.
- Embed CHANEL's brand image in all operational decisions.
