ജോലി വിവരണം
Role overview
This opportunity places you inside an advanced AI research lab focused on generative AI for the life sciences. The team is recruiting a small group of molecular biology specialists to help improve the quality of training data used for models that reason about biological problems.
The work centers on pre-experimental design of DNA and RNA sequences, including items such as primers, plasmids, RNA constructs, and repair templates.
Key responsibilities
- Create and review DNA and RNA design work based on your professional background, including primers, plasmids, RNAs, repair templates, and related molecular biology constructs.
- Develop difficult, domain-specific tasks and produce precise, well-supported solutions that can be used as ground truth.
- Assess model responses against expert-level answers and provide detailed written feedback on accuracy, rigor, and reasoning.
- Work with other subject-matter experts to maintain consistency and scientific correctness across the dataset.
Candidate profile
- You should currently practice molecular biology or have recent hands-on experience designing nucleic-acid sequences before experiments.
- A strong publication history in peer-reviewed research is considered an important indicator of expertise, with work in respected outlets such as Nature, bioRxiv, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press, and eLife especially appreciated.
- An advanced qualification is expected, with a PhD strongly preferred in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, synthetic biology, bioengineering, or a closely related life-science discipline.
- You must be able to communicate complex scientific reasoning clearly and explain the basis for your design decisions in writing.
Program scope and timing
The initial engagement is planned for a small cohort that will handle roughly 50 to 100 design tasks over an opening period of 2 to 3 weeks, with a strong possibility of extension after that.
The project is intended to start quickly, with the goal of beginning this week.
Equal opportunity notice
All qualified candidates are welcome to apply regardless of legally protected characteristics, and reasonable accommodations can be provided on request.
Location
This is a remote opportunity for candidates based in the United Kingdom.
