Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area for a Manager - Inventory & Data Analyst. The position focuses on controlling inventory, improving stock levels, and using data to support better operational decisions. The role combines hands-on inventory oversight with reporting, analysis, and coordination across teams to keep inventory operations running smoothly.

Inventory Operations

  • Manage the flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods through receipt, storage, and distribution while maintaining strong warehouse accuracy.
  • Design and run cycle count processes, perform routine physical checks, and resolve gaps between physical counts and system records.
  • Track inventory levels, identify shortages or excess stock, and alert the Procurement Manager when discrepancies appear.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures that strengthen inventory control and improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Oversee rent and storage arrangements with 1PL, 3PL, and supplier partners while staying within budget and identifying opportunities to reduce costs.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Work with the Information Systems Manager, Procurement Manager, and EVP of Customer Experience when needed to review sales history, market trends, and Fishbowl data for forecasting future inventory needs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering KPIs such as inventory turnover, inventory accuracy, and slow-moving stock.
  • Build dashboards and visual reports in Excel and Power BI to monitor inventory trends and supply chain performance.
  • Review data inputs for accuracy, investigate mismatches, and determine the underlying causes of inventory issues.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in inventory control and inventory management practices.
  • Good analytical ability for problem-solving and decision-making based on data.
  • Clear communication and customer service skills for working with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Careful attention to detail and solid organizational habits.
  • Prior use of inventory management software is advantageous.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, operations, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-moving, on-site work environment.
