About Alpine Business Consulting
Alpine Business Consulting focuses on correcting enterprise performance management and reporting environments. The team helps organizations that have already invested in complicated planning systems but are still facing mismatched numbers, slow month-end closings, and unreliable reporting. Their work involves rebuilding or reworking these setups so the business can rely on one consistent source of truth.
Unlike many consulting firms, the company works with fixed-price proposals, clear delivery timelines, and detailed documentation. Its consultants bring experience with Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and modern analytics tools. Rather than using live client work as a training exercise for senior-level roles, the firm emphasizes dependable delivery and a strong handover so clients can continue operating successfully after the engagement ends.
About the role
This opening supports a large global logistics organization that is restructuring its financial reporting and data architecture. The assignment is substantial, with complex datasets and several business units involved. To keep the work organized and moving smoothly, the team is hiring a Junior Project Manager for a permanent, full-time remote position.
In this role, you will support senior consultants by keeping project timelines organized, maintaining documentation, and helping communication stay consistent between the consulting team and the client. You will gain exposure to enterprise software implementation work and learn how large-scale project delivery operates in practice.
What you will do
- Keep project timelines current and make sure each phase of the implementation stays on schedule.
- Arrange meetings between technical consultants and the client’s finance team.
- Gather, structure, and maintain technical documentation so every system change is recorded properly.
- Contribute to status updates that clearly summarize progress and budget movement.
- Monitor internal action items and follow up with teammates so deliverables are ready for review.
- Help create training content and configuration reference guides for the final client handover.
- Track incoming data requests and make sure the client provides the required information on time.
- Support quality checks by verifying that outputs match the project’s original requirements.
What we need from you
- Strong organizational habits and a natural ability to keep records, lists, and tasks well structured.
- Confident, professional communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Some basic exposure to project work, ideally through university studies or internship experience.
- A willingness to learn the terminology used in financial reporting and performance management systems.
- Comfort working remotely, with the discipline to stay proactive and self-managed.
- Working knowledge of common productivity tools such as spreadsheets, presentation software, and project trackers.
- Careful attention to detail, especially when reviewing documents or data for consistency.
- The ability to follow instructions closely while asking questions when processes are not fully clear.
What the role offers
This is a paid position with a competitive salary for someone at the entry level. The role comes with stable, permanent employment and the flexibility of remote work, while still keeping you connected to a team of experienced consultants who are willing to share their knowledge.
The company values direct communication and technical precision over unnecessary corporate formality. The role offers practical experience in how complex systems are actually improved, along with skills that are highly relevant in corporate finance and technology environments.
Additional information
The position is based in Berlin, Germany, but is fully remote.
One of the key outcomes of the role is supporting a global logistics leader in stabilizing financial reporting and improving data reliability so their teams can make better decisions over the long term.
