Junior Data Analyst

Role overview

The Junior Data Analyst supports the collection, preparation, analysis, and reporting of data so the business can make better decisions. The role is centered on turning raw information into clear insights that improve performance, strengthen operations, and support planning.

What you will do

You will work with data from different sources, check it for accuracy, clean and structure it, and prepare it for analysis. You will partner with teams such as business, finance, and operations to understand what they need from reports and translate those needs into useful outputs.

You will also build and maintain reports, dashboards, and charts that monitor KPIs, trends, and key business measures. These outputs will help stakeholders spot patterns, opportunities, and areas that need improvement.

The role includes basic statistical work, validation of data, and trend review to support day-to-day decisions. You may use spreadsheets, databases, and business intelligence tools to work with both structured and unstructured information.

Another important part of the job is improving data quality by finding inconsistencies, fixing errors, and helping maintain reliable systems and datasets. You may also contribute to automation of reporting, refinement of data workflows, and handling ad hoc analysis requests from different teams.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and numerical ability.
• Good grasp of core data analysis concepts and methods.
• Hands-on comfort with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
• Understanding of basic statistics and how to interpret data.
• Ability to clean, organize, and work with datasets.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Capability to identify trends, patterns, and meaningful insights.
• Basic SQL or database knowledge is an added advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain findings to non-technical audiences.
• Sound problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
• Capacity to handle several tasks and meet deadlines.
• Eagerness to learn new tools, techniques, and analytical approaches.
• Interest in analytics, business intelligence, and decision-support work.
