Role Overview

This is a full-time, entry-level to junior position for a meticulous and analytical Junior Data Analyst based in the United States. The role is suited to recent graduates and early-career professionals who want to build hands-on experience using data to support business decisions and operational improvements.

What You’ll Do

Gather data from a mix of internal and external sources, then clean, verify, and structure it for use.
Review datasets to surface trends, patterns, irregularities, and practical business takeaways.
Create and update reports, dashboards, and visual representations of data for decision support.
Track key performance indicators and other important business metrics on an ongoing basis.
Work with stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations drawn from data analysis.
Check data for quality, consistency, and accuracy across systems and reporting tools.
Retrieve, reshape, and transform data using spreadsheets, databases, and reporting software.
Assist with forecasting, trend review, business performance reviews, and one-off analytical requests.
Maintain documentation for data sources, reporting workflows, analysis methods, and findings.
Partner with teams across operations, finance, marketing, HR, sales, and technology.
Look for ways to streamline reporting and make data easier to access and use.
Keep up with analytics tools, business intelligence platforms, and current best practices.

What We’re Looking For

A foundational grasp of data analysis, statistics, reporting, and business intelligence concepts.
Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charts, and analysis features.
SQL knowledge for querying and handling data is preferred.
Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar visualization tools is a plus.
Basic familiarity with databases, data structures, and reporting approaches.
Exposure to Python, R, or similar analytical languages is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving ability and sound critical thinking.
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
Clear communication and presentation skills, especially when speaking to non-technical audiences.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related area is preferred.
