Junior Compounder, Taste

Role overview

This position is with IFF, a worldwide company known for work in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, and health and biosciences. The job is based in Chin Bee, Singapore and requires on-site work.

Key duties

• Help with production tasks such as cleaning tanks and equipment, handling materials, and packing finished output.
• Support tank charging, compounding work, and checks during the process while working under supervision.
• Use HMI interfaces and other production machines after receiving the required training.
• Carry out packing activities and transport materials with PIVs; training and licensing will be arranged where needed.
• Follow safety rules, GMP requirements, and internal quality procedures at all times.
• Keep the work area tidy and assist with basic equipment upkeep as part of 6S practices.
• Take part in improvement initiatives and complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

What the company is looking for

The ideal candidate has a Secondary, ITE, or Diploma qualification in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field. A basic grasp of GMP-based manufacturing and common process instrumentation is helpful.

Applicants should be comfortable using standard office software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP experience is a plus. You should be able to work on your own as well as in a team, communicate in basic English, and be physically capable of lifting loads up to 25 kg independently.

Flexibility is important, as weekend, public holiday, or night-shift work may be required when needed.

Preferred strengths

People who are eager to learn, grow professionally, and bring problem-solving and data analysis ability will stand out. Prior exposure to chemical, food, or pharmaceutical environments is also an advantage. A forklift or reach truck licence would be beneficial.
