Junior Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a driven Junior Analyst who can support day-to-day business operations by researching, examining data, preparing reports, and contributing insights that help guide decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Gather, arrange, check, and analyze information from a range of data sources.
• Create reports, dashboards, presentations, and concise business summaries.
• Spot trends, patterns, irregularities, and possible improvement areas in datasets.
• Support market research, business analysis, and performance reviews.
• Track KPIs and other operational metrics on an ongoing basis.
• Assist with forecasting, planning, and strategic decision-making tasks.
• Update and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools.
• Carry out data validation checks to keep records accurate and consistent.
• Work with stakeholders to understand needs and provide analytical support.
• Record methods, workflows, and findings in a clear and organized way.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts by making data-backed recommendations.

Skills and Competencies

The role calls for strong numerical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a high level of precision. The candidate should be comfortable using Microsoft Excel, researching information, and explaining findings clearly in both written and verbal form. Good organization, time management, and the ability to work both independently and with a team are also important. A willingness to learn new tools and business concepts is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar discipline is preferred. Prior exposure through internships, academic projects, research work, or other analytical assignments will be an added advantage. Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, or similar tools is helpful, along with experience in reporting, business intelligence, or performance analysis. Knowledge of data visualization and statistical analysis concepts is also a plus.
