Role Summary

This remote, full-time position is for an Instructional Designer responsible for creating learning experiences that align with UA’s mission and day-to-day operational needs. The role includes designing curricula, training modules, and digital learning resources that are practical, engaging, and suited to adult learners.

What You Will Do

You will work on analyzing learning needs, partnering with subject matter experts, building instructional content, and developing assessments. A major part of the role is making sure training materials work well in learning management systems and remain effective over time through review and updates based on feedback and performance insights.

You will also collaborate with program leaders and field teams to turn real-world challenges into accessible, inclusive, and useful learning solutions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings experience in needs analysis, learning management systems, instructional design, curriculum creation, and training program support. Familiarity with adult learning principles is important, and experience with trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and inclusive design approaches is an advantage.

Strong writing and visual communication skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting are essential. Experience in community-based services, social impact work, or with justice-impacted and vulnerable communities is considered a plus.

A bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or a similar field is preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience may also be accepted.
