Human Resources Manager

Role overview

An experienced Human Resources Manager is needed to lead all people operations at a mining location and lithium processing facility. This role is responsible for hiring, employee relations, performance management, payroll support, learning and development, and maintaining compliance with company policies and Nigerian labour legislation while helping build a productive, engaged workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Run recruitment, onboarding, and manpower planning activities for the site.
• Handle employee relations, performance reviews, and disciplinary matters.
• Support payroll processing, compensation, benefits, and general HR administration.
• Monitor adherence to labour regulations, health and safety rules, and internal policies.
• Promote staff welfare, training, and development programmes.
• Keep HR files, reporting, and workforce data accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with site leadership to improve productivity and foster a positive workplace.
• Maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, unions, and outside stakeholders.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of HR experience, ideally within manufacturing, mining, or other industrial settings.
• Solid understanding of Nigerian labour laws and established HR practices.
• Strong ability in communication, leadership, and problem-solving.
• Comfortable working in a busy, multicultural environment.
• Must be open to relocation.

Compensation

Net monthly remuneration is 500,000.
