About the Role
A well-established retail business in the fashion sector is looking for an accomplished Human Resources Manager to support its growth and transformation plans. In this position, you will help shape the workplace culture, strengthen hiring practices, and lead people-focused initiatives across the organization.
You will oversee the complete HR function as a strategic partner to senior leadership. The ideal professional will have substantial retail experience, ideally in fashion retail, and a strong background in organizational development, cultural change, recruitment, employee engagement, and team leadership.
This is a highly visible role that combines office-based strategic work with regular store visits, helping ensure that corporate priorities and frontline employee needs remain aligned.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational development and culture
- Support initiatives that reshape and reinforce company culture in line with business goals and core values.
- Create and roll out development programs that improve engagement, productivity, and retention.
- Lead change management efforts and contribute to wider transformation projects.
- Plan and execute strategies that strengthen employee engagement and employer reputation.
Talent acquisition and workforce planning
- Build and implement recruitment approaches that attract strong candidates for both corporate and store-level roles.
- Work with business leaders to assess workforce needs and future succession requirements.
- Improve hiring steps, assessment methods, and onboarding practices to raise talent quality.
- Develop and sustain a strong employer presence in the retail market.
HR operations and employee relations
- Manage the full employee journey, from onboarding through performance reviews, learning and development, compensation review, and exit processes.
- Ensure adherence to local labor regulations, internal HR policies, and company procedures.
- Serve as a reliable advisor to managers and employees on HR matters.
- Help maintain an inclusive and positive workplace environment.
Leadership and team management
- Coach, guide, and develop the HR team to support strong performance and ongoing professional growth.
- Set clear targets and KPIs for the HR department.
- Encourage service-driven HR practices and modern best standards across the business.
Retail partnership
- Stay closely connected with retail teams and store management.
- Visit stores regularly to understand operational issues, workforce needs, and talent gaps.
- Support consistent HR practices and culture across all sites.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a similar discipline is required.
- At least 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role, is needed.
- Experience in retail is essential, with fashion retail being especially valuable.
- Strong capability across the full HR lifecycle, including recruitment, organizational development, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and HR operations.
- Proven ability to lead culture transformation and change initiatives.
- Experience in managing and developing HR teams.
