Role overview
This part-time, in-person HR Operations Manager position is based in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on keeping daily people operations running smoothly, from employee record management to onboarding, offboarding, and proper documentation. It also includes ensuring HR practices stay aligned with internal rules and local employment regulations.
What you will do
You will help shape, roll out, and periodically update HR policies and procedures so they reflect the organization’s values and legal requirements. The role includes handling employee relations issues, supporting performance management activities, administering leave and benefits, advising managers on HR-related best practices, and partnering with leadership on workforce planning. You will also contribute to hiring and selection support as well as HR initiatives that improve the employee experience and overall organizational performance.
Qualifications
- A solid background in human resources and HR operations, with a record of supporting business objectives through effective people practices.
- Practical experience in HR policy work, process execution, documentation, and compliance with relevant labor legislation.
- Proven ability to manage employee relations matters, including addressing concerns, assisting with conflict resolution, and encouraging a respectful and inclusive workplace.
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational abilities, with the confidence to work across different stakeholder groups.
- Working knowledge of HR systems and standard office software.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field; professional certifications such as SHRM or CIPD are considered beneficial.
- Previous exposure to nonprofit, international, or mission-led organizations, especially in policy, education, or social impact environments, would be an added advantage.
- Capability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, manage several priorities within a part-time arrangement, and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
