Role Overview
The organization is looking for a proactive HR Generalist with strong exposure to payroll administration, HR operations, HR systems, and compliance. This position sits in a fast-moving global environment and will support daily HR and payroll activities across APAC while working closely with internal teams and outside payroll partners to keep employee processes accurate and compliant.
Payroll Administration
- Manage and coordinate monthly payroll data for several APAC locations.
- Check payroll inputs such as new joiners, compensation updates, allowances, incentives, deductions, leave, overtime, and full-and-final settlements.
- Work with external payroll service providers to make sure payroll is completed on time and correctly.
- Investigate mismatches, support issue resolution, and handle payroll questions with Finance and vendor partners.
- Assist with payroll reconciliations, statutory filings, and year-end payroll tasks.
- Keep payroll documents organized and ready for audit checks.
HR Operations and Employment Administration
- Draft and manage employment-related documents such as contracts, salary revision letters, confirmation letters, experience letters, and other employee communications.
- Maintain employee files and HR records with accuracy and strong confidentiality.
- Support employee data updates, reporting line changes, transfers, promotions, and changes in employment status.
- Coordinate employee benefits administration and work with external vendors as needed.
HR Systems and Reporting
- Administer HRIS platforms and employee databases while ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Diagnose HR system issues and coordinate with IT teams and vendors when necessary.
- Prepare HR, payroll, dashboard, and workforce analytics reports for leadership.
- Support system audits, data checks, and process enhancement initiatives.
Compliance and Employee Relations
- Ensure HR and payroll practices follow local employment laws across APAC.
- Maintain statutory records and coordinate compliance paperwork with local partners.
- Support internal and external audits by sharing required HR and payroll records.
- Assist with employee relations, policy rollout, and HR compliance activities.
General Expectations
- Handle all employee and payroll information with strict confidentiality.
- Look for ways to improve HR and payroll workflows through automation and standardization.
- Keep up to date with legal and statutory changes affecting payroll and HR processes.
- Collaborate effectively with regional and global HR, Payroll, Finance, and business stakeholders.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in HR, with substantial involvement in multi-country payroll administration and HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and employment laws across APAC.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS tools and payroll systems.
- Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent attention to detail, along with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders well.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced global setup across multiple time zones.
