ജോലി വിവരണം

Role overview

L'Oréal is seeking a people-oriented HR Advisor to support its Physical Distribution teams across the Bury, Nottingham and Trafford distribution centres. This role sits in a busy, hands-on environment where every day brings different priorities and where strong HR support has a direct impact on the operation and its people.

You will work closely with managers and employees, providing practical guidance, supporting formal people processes, and helping to maintain accurate payroll and organisational data. The position reports to the HR Business Partner and forms part of a collaborative PD HR team.

What you will do

In this role, you will be a visible HR contact across the sites, helping line managers handle employee matters quickly, fairly and in line with employment law and company practice. You will coach leaders through formal processes such as disciplinaries, absence, performance concerns, grievances and investigations.

A key part of the job is managing the payroll data cycle for the distribution centres. This includes pulling data together, checking it carefully, reconciling records and working closely with the Payroll team so that employees are paid correctly and on time. You will also identify inconsistencies, raise issues early and help improve the way data is managed.

You will support onboarding, respond to day-to-day HR questions, update organisational information and contribute to a workplace where people feel supported and respected.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will bring prior HR experience, preferably gained in an operational, logistics or FMCG setting, with solid exposure to employee relations and formal HR casework. You should feel comfortable advising managers on sensitive matters and handling cases with fairness, empathy and confidence.

Strong attention to detail is important, especially when working with payroll information or HR reporting. You should also be a confident communicator who can build trust with people at all levels, from warehouse colleagues to senior leaders. Good organisation, the ability to manage competing deadlines and a steady approach under pressure are essential.

The role suits someone who is resilient, supportive, curious and eager to keep learning. CIPD Level 3 or above is preferred, or you should be working towards an equivalent qualification. Strong MS Office skills and experience using HR systems and payroll platforms are also important.

Benefits

L'Oréal offers a competitive benefits package designed to support wellbeing, development and financial security. This includes money-saving offers, free mortgage advice, share options and an enhanced pension plan.

The company also provides enhanced family leave for all employees and up to 4 weeks of paid fertility leave. Learning and development are supported through role training, skill-building opportunities, leadership programmes and monthly expert talks.
