Role Overview
The Housekeeping Supervisor will take ownership of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and overall ambiance across the Della Gallery in Lonavala. This role suits someone from a hospitality background who can keep the property at premium standards while managing housekeeping staff, supplies, and day-to-day support operations to create an excellent visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep all areas of the gallery spotless and hygienic, including display zones, meeting rooms, reception, washrooms, pantry areas, and shared spaces.
- Make sure the property remains ready for guests at all times and reflects luxury hospitality standards.
- Lead and coordinate the housekeeping team to run daily work smoothly and efficiently.
- Organize and assign housekeeping tasks to improve productivity and service quality.
- Track stocks of housekeeping materials such as linen, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and pantry consumables, and arrange replenishment on time.
- Maintain stock records and work with procurement for sourcing housekeeping items.
- Carry out routine checks to confirm that cleanliness, appearance, and upkeep standards are consistently maintained.
- Work closely with the maintenance team on repairs, equipment breakdowns, and other facility-related concerns.
- Ensure cleaning tools and chemicals are used correctly and safely.
- Put housekeeping SOPs, hygiene practices, and safety procedures into daily use and monitor compliance.
- Assist the Operations/Admin team during VIP visits, client meetings, events, and internal functions by ensuring the premises look polished and well maintained.
- Coach housekeeping staff on personal grooming, hygiene, service etiquette, and best operating practices.
- Use manpower and housekeeping resources efficiently while maintaining a high level of service.
Requirements
- A graduate degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management is preferred.
- 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in housekeeping operations in hotels, luxury hospitality, premium commercial spaces, or corporate settings.
- Prior experience in supervising housekeeping teams and handling resources is needed.
- Strong understanding of housekeeping SOPs, stock control, and hygiene standards.
