Responsibilities

• Deliver strong customer support and create a positive borrower experience across different communication channels.
• Own and manage a pipeline of home equity loans, serving as the main point of contact and working toward closing deadlines and rate-lock expiration dates.
• Handle a steady workload of approximately 30 to 50 loan files at different stages.
• Communicate promptly and effectively with clients, third-party vendors, and internal teams such as loan officers, underwriters, and closers.
• Stay current with evolving mortgage rules and guidelines and adjust work practices accordingly.
• Set clear expectations for borrowers about the mortgage process and remain their primary contact until closing.
• Collect, review, and assess documentation needed from borrowers, internal teams, and outside parties to support underwriting approval.
• Support broker channel loan fulfillment as needed.
• Adapt quickly to change and assist other departments when required.
• Work to meet and exceed productivity goals and performance standards.
• Coordinate appropriately with realtors and referral partners by clarifying process expectations and communication points.
• Request and interpret mortgage-financing documents such as tax transcripts, pay stubs, tax returns, and income calculations.
• Stay organized, act proactively, and manage deadlines effectively in a busy, fast-moving environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in mortgage processing is preferred.
• Broker fulfillment experience is considered an advantage.
• Ability to manage a mixed pipeline of 30 to 50 loans.
• Working knowledge of Encompass LOS.
• Strong spoken and written communication abilities.
• Comfortable working under time pressure in a changing environment.
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate well with others.
• Strong commitment to client satisfaction throughout the loan journey.
• Familiarity with Fannie Mae guidelines.
