Key duties

• Lead, coach, and support a finance team of four.
• Take full ownership of month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review management reports and ensure audit processes run smoothly.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis to inform commercial and strategic decisions.
• Improve financial governance, controls, and compliance across UK and US operations.
• Support enhancements to processes, automation, and ERP systems.
• Manage cash flow along with accounts payable, accounts receivable, consolidation, tax, and statutory reporting tasks.

Candidate profile

The employer is looking for an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified professional with around 4–5 years of post-qualification experience. A strong grounding in technical accounting and financial control is essential, together with prior experience in leading a finance team.

The ideal person will be proactive, practical, and commercially minded, with the confidence to work in a fast-moving business. Backgrounds in retail, luxury, founder-led, or private equity-backed businesses would be especially relevant.

Working arrangement

This position is based in London and follows a hybrid pattern, with three days per week in the office.
