Role Overview

Apptegy is hiring a Financial Analyst to strengthen financial visibility and support strategic decisions across the business. This position is part of the Finance team and works closely with leaders in Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Operations to guide investments, growth plans, and scaling decisions.

The role is highly visible and suited to someone who enjoys turning complex financial and operating data into practical business insight. As a senior individual contributor, you will own important planning and analysis processes, contribute to forecasting and performance management across the company, and help create more scalable, automated finance workflows using modern planning tools and AI-enabled processes.

The right candidate will bring strong analytical thinking, curiosity about the business, and the ability to influence decisions through clear financial storytelling.

Planning, Forecasting, and Performance Management

• Take ownership of major parts of the annual planning cycle, including budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Create and maintain scalable financial models for revenue, operating expenses, and headcount.
• Perform scenario analysis to assess the balance between growth, profitability, and investment.
• Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews by presenting variance and trend insights to leadership.

Business Insights and Cross-Functional Partnership

• Review financial performance and SaaS metrics such as revenue, pipeline, retention, and customer growth to spot patterns, risks, and opportunities.
• Convert complex information into clear, action-oriented recommendations for senior leaders and partners across the organization.
• Act as a dependable finance partner to department leaders and go-to-market teams when evaluating initiatives, allocating resources, and exploring growth options.
• Handle ad hoc analysis and scenario planning for important work such as pricing decisions, new product investments, and operational improvements.

Finance Systems, Automation, and AI-Enabled Workflows

• Enhance the core reporting framework, dashboards, and models to support faster and more accurate decisions.
• Implement and improve FP&A systems such as Pigment and related tools to reduce manual effort.
• Build automated reporting and workflows using AI-enabled methods that improve speed, precision, and data quality.
• Prepare concise leadership and board materials, and contribute to the evolution of planning processes as the company expands.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a similar analytical function. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. Strong Excel or Google Sheets modeling skills are important, including experience working with scenarios and large data sets.

Experience using AI tools, automation, or scripting such as Python, VBA/macros, Google Apps Script, or similar is preferred for streamlining financial work and reducing manual tasks. The role also calls for the ability to turn detailed data into concise insights, as well as experience collaborating with business leaders and influencing decisions through analysis.

What Helps You Stand Out

• Background in a SaaS or subscription business, with knowledge of recurring revenue metrics such as ARR, retention, LTV/CAC, and payback.
• Experience in a fast-growing company where systems and processes are still evolving.
• Interest in or use of generative AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Glean, or Copilot to speed up analysis, automate work, or improve reporting.
• Familiarity with FP&A platforms like Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive, or Planful.
• Exposure to ERP or CRM systems such as NetSuite or Salesforce.
• Working knowledge of BI tools or data querying tools such as SQL, Looker, or Tableau.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $100,000.
