Role summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in Ludhiana for a Field Technician who will handle installation, configuration, testing, and upkeep of security and automation systems. The role involves working directly at customer sites to ensure hardware and systems are correctly deployed and functioning as intended.

Key responsibilities

The technician will carry out site surveys, install and align equipment, route cables, and integrate systems with the Kavach X platform. The job also includes diagnosing and fixing technical issues on location, performing preventive maintenance, preparing clear service documentation, and coordinating with support and operations teams. In addition, the role requires guiding customers on basic usage and following all safety and quality procedures during field work.

Technical requirements

Candidates should have practical experience with CCTV, access control, video door communication, low-voltage security systems, and related hardware. Exposure to home and building automation, smart gate systems, and IoT-connected devices is also important.

Basic networking knowledge is needed, including cable routing, router and switch setup, IP addressing, and connectivity troubleshooting. The role further requires familiarity with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, power tools, and handheld service devices, along with the ability to read wiring diagrams, layout plans, and technical documents accurately.

Skills and soft skills

Strong troubleshooting ability, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and customer-facing communication skills are essential. The person should be comfortable working in field conditions, including elevated or confined spaces, and must consistently follow safety guidelines.

Eligibility and education

Applicants should hold at least a diploma or ITI in electronics, electrical, computer science, telecommunications, or a related technical field, or have equivalent hands-on experience. A valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving licence is required, along with willingness to travel locally.
