Program overview
The Experienced Commercial Leadership Program is a structured mid-career leadership track created to build the next generation of commercial leaders at GE Aerospace. It runs for three years and includes three one-year rotations, broad development opportunities, executive mentorship, and focused career coaching. The program is designed to help the business protect current performance, improve future outcomes, and support innovation.
Minimum qualifications
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Preferred study areas include Finance, Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a STEM discipline. Candidates must also bring 6 to 9 years of total professional experience and have background exposure to the aerospace, defense, or power sectors. The role requires a readiness to travel up to 25% each year, along with flexibility to relocate during the program and when it ends, based on rotation assignments, post-program opportunities, and business requirements.
Work location and mobility
Before the program begins, selected candidates must be willing to localize and work in person from the nearest commercial hub linked to their current residence. Eligible hubs include Cincinnati, London, Dubai, Shanghai, New Delhi, and Singapore. If needed for this specific opportunity, the company will assist with temporary work authorization and relocation support.
Preferred capabilities
Strong candidates will be able to learn quickly, apply prior commercial, technical, operational, or financial experience to create impact, and adapt smoothly in changing conditions. They should also be comfortable working through uncertainty, using critical thinking and lean problem-solving, managing sizable workloads, and communicating effectively. Success in this role also depends on the ability to work across a global matrixed organization and help remove barriers so customer outcomes are delivered on time.
Behavioral expectations
The role calls for someone who leads by example and reflects GE Aerospace’s values of respect for people, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
