Executive Sous Chef

About the Role

Park Hyatt Doha is looking for a highly accomplished Executive Sous Chef to oversee the hotel’s entire culinary function. In this leadership role, you will guide the kitchen teams, shape the property’s food identity, and uphold the elevated dining standards expected of a luxury hotel. The position calls for a strategic, inventive, and hands-on culinary leader with deep experience in premium hospitality, fine dining, and upscale restaurant environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Take charge of all food production and kitchen operations across the hotel as the senior leader of the culinary department.
• Create and roll out imaginative menus and refined dining concepts that align with the brand’s luxury positioning.
• Maintain consistently high standards for taste, appearance, and overall food quality across outlets and special events.
• Recruit, coach, and develop a strong culinary team while encouraging excellence, discipline, and creativity.
• Manage culinary budgets and operational controls, including food cost, stock levels, and day-to-day efficiency.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should bring 7–10 years of progressive experience in culinary leadership, with at least 3 years spent in roles such as Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine. Prior work in fine dining, Michelin-level kitchens, or luxury five-star hotels is essential. Strong command of modern cooking methods, premium ingredients, and international cuisines is required. You should also have proven experience managing large, multicultural teams in a busy luxury setting, along with solid financial and operational capability. Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills are necessary. A culinary degree or equivalent professional certification is preferred. Experience in the Middle East is an added advantage, though it is not mandatory.
