Data Analyst Intern

Role Overview

In this position, you will convert unprocessed data into practical insights that help procurement teams make better decisions. Your work will center on identifying market patterns, monitoring performance indicators, and improving supplier-related processes. The role supports efficiency improvements within Siemens Energy’s procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine market and supplier datasets to spot trends and uncover opportunities that can guide procurement strategy.
• Build and update interactive Tableau dashboards to present key performance indicators and savings metrics.
• Create clear reports and summaries from analysis findings for internal stakeholders.
• Assist with local RFQs and help validate Purchase Order release mapping tests.
• Help design and roll out a digital filing structure for procurement records.
• Work with colleagues on procurement initiatives and projects to strengthen overall team effectiveness.

What You Need

• You should be currently studying for, or have recently finished, a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
• Hands-on familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau and Power BI, along with solid analytical capability, is expected.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills are needed to manage data and prepare reports efficiently.
• Ability to build and prompt AI agents to support data-led decision-making is an advantage.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills, paired with strong attention to detail, are important.
• A cooperative attitude, plus solid planning and organizational abilities, will help you thrive in this team environment.

The Gas Services business focuses on low-emission power generation, including service and decarbonization solutions. Its scope covers gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators, with modernization and digitalization helping reduce emissions across the fleet.
