Compliance Manager

Role overview

A diversified business group is hiring a Compliance Manager to create, manage, and continuously improve compliance systems across several operating companies. Responsibilities

• Build and roll out a compliance structure for the group that matches legal requirements and recognized industry standards.
• Oversee adherence to UAE laws, regulator rules, and internal governance requirements across all business entities.
• Carry out periodic compliance risk evaluations and put corrective measures in place to reduce exposure.
• Develop, update, and manage policies, procedures, and internal controls across the organization.
• Run compliance reviews, audits, and investigations, and ensure identified issues are resolved.
• Serve as the main liaison for regulators and outside auditors when needed.
• Advise business teams on day-to-day compliance questions and issues.
• Plan and deliver training and awareness initiatives that strengthen compliance behavior across the group.
• Monitor compliance indicators, incidents, and remediation progress, then report findings to senior management.
• Assist with the adoption of AML, KYC, data privacy, and corporate governance requirements where relevant.
• Keep track of regulatory updates and evaluate how changes affect the group’s operations.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as CAMS, ICA, CRCM, or an equivalent certification are an advantage.
• At least 10 years of experience in compliance, risk, or governance positions.
• Prior experience in a diversified group, holding company, or multi-entity setting.
• Solid knowledge of the UAE regulatory environment, including ADGM, DIFC, the Central Bank, and other sector regulators.
• Exposure to multiple sectors such as investments, real estate, energy, retail, or financial services is a strong plus.
