ജോലി വിവരണം
Role overview
This position is for an experienced practitioner who will lead clinically grounded practice development and education for non-medical staff. The role expects strong professional judgement, up-to-date knowledge, and the ability to demonstrate excellent evidence-based care in day-to-day practice. A major focus of the post is supporting learners at the bedside and helping them build confidence and competence in the clinical setting.
Key purpose of the role
The Clinical Educator will assess the learning requirements of the clinical area and help create an environment that actively supports development. This includes acting as a trusted source of expertise, keeping local training materials current and relevant, and working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues and senior staff to strengthen learning across the service.
Education and service support
The post holder will contribute to the design and delivery of targeted education activities, some of which may be developed jointly with the senior practice development and education team. They will also support the coordination and evaluation of training, making sure learning is built on sound practice and contributes to clinical governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
Core duties
- Serve as a strong example of high-quality clinical practice and the organisation’s values.
- Support learners directly and encourage them to develop independence in their practice.
- Work to an agreed job plan that supports education delivery, staff development, patient safety, and patient experience.
- Work closely with the Practice Development Nurse for direction, oversight, and alignment with the wider education strategy.
- Organise time well so that education delivery and administrative responsibilities are both managed effectively.
- Promote a collaborative learning culture across professional groups.
- Deliver learning programmes at divisional level and, where needed, across multiple divisions to support organisational priorities.
- Collaborate with local and corporate practice development teams.
- Identify educational needs proactively and respond to changing service requirements.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across professional and organisational boundaries.
- Take part in audit, service improvement, and research work relevant to the role.
- Keep clinical practice current and credible through regular hands-on work and shift-based clinical duties.
