Role overview
The organization is hiring for its Policy Servicing Operations team in Mumbai. This position is suited to professionals from the life insurance sector who have hands-on experience in policy servicing and leading teams. The role centers on payout management, operational control, audit readiness, TAT compliance, and related policy servicing activities.
Key responsibilities
- Work in line with the organization’s defined KPI benchmarks.
- Guide the payout team so customer requests are handled efficiently and within the agreed turnaround time.
- Keep the team updated through regular communication on process changes and internal developments.
- Create and improve procedures for policy owner services.
- Build strong working relationships across departments as well as within the team.
- Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the payout operations team.
- Make sure the team has the right tools and support needed to deliver quality service to policyholders.
- Ensure customer communication for payout processes is accurate and appropriate.
- Maintain strict compliance with payout requirements and put strong controls in place for transactions and documents.
- Prepare accurate regulatory reporting according to the compliance calendar.
- Assess team performance and identify training gaps that need to be addressed.
- Support internal and external audits and work toward a strong audit rating.
- Keep dashboards and scorecards updated and published on time.
Requirements
- Experience in the life insurance industry with relevance to policy servicing operations.
- Prior exposure to team handling and supervision of operational processes.
- Comfort with managing payouts, audit processes, controls, and regulatory reporting.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and maintain process discipline.
