About the role

Cavan Crystal Hotel is hiring a Chef de Partie to join its kitchen team in Cavan. The hotel is a well-known 4-star property situated under five minutes from Cavan Town centre, with facilities including an 18m swimming pool, the Zest health and fitness club, a conference centre, Atrium Bar, and Glassworks Restaurant.

Key duties

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and other back-of-house areas.
• Prepare dishes as orders come in, making sure food is plated and presented according to recipe and presentation standards.
• Carry out end-of-shift closing procedures for the section in line with hotel policies and standards.
• Work with department managers to monitor food quality and hygiene compliance.
• Follow HACCP requirements consistently.
• Ensure all kitchen colleagues maintain proper hygiene practices while handling, preparing, and storing food.

Candidate profile

The role suits someone with at least 1 year of experience working as a Chef de Partie. Previous exposure to a 4-star kitchen would be an advantage. Strong spoken and written English is required, along with the ability to perform well under pressure and contribute effectively as part of a team. The ideal candidate will also be flexible, adaptable, and open to new ideas.
